Choose your Membership Level

Every month, each membership level has one tournament. If you are an active member in that membership tier, you will be an active member in the corresponding chess.com club and you will always have access to the tournaments as long as you stay active. Say you want to play only one event: Sign up before the next upcoming event's cutoff date/time, and keep you membership active THROUGH the tournament. Cancel after the tournament. If you sign up and then cancel both before the cutoff date/time, you will not be counted as an active member and will not have access to the event. If you want to play all events for the season, just keep your membership active.

Each tournament has 4 divisions based on skill level (your chess.com account’s 5min Blitz ELO). Each division will have a number of places paid out depending on the number of players that participated in that division. You will be able to see how many players are in your division when inside your chess.com app.

Size of payouts largely depends on how many players were in the division for that tournament. See 'Payouts' page of website for more information. By comparing the current number of members in each tier and the information on our Payouts page, this can help you gauge which membership tier you may like to join.
