About the Tour (add vid)

The Crown Prize Chess Tour is an independent, competitive circuit built for serious online chess players who want more than casual tournaments. Our mission is simple: offer substantial cash prizes, reward performance, and create a structured season where consistency matters.

Each year features 12 events — 8 standard tournaments and 4 Majors — with large first-place prizes scaled to field size and payouts extending across multiple finishing positions. Players choose 1 of 5 divisions that fits their Chess.com Blitz Ranking and games are played right on Chess.com.

Beyond individual events, members compete in a season-long earnings race within their division, with bonus payouts awarded to the top two total earners at season’s end.

The Crown Prize Chess Tour was created to give ambitious players a transparent, competitive, and rewarding place to play — where performance earns recognition, consistency builds legacy, and every event matters.
